Geocaching

Norman Motte and Bailey

I decided to go geocaching near Broad Hinton today to get to the "Norman Motte and Bailey" cache. It was a one and a half mile trapse along a number of fields to get to it, but overall I think the excercise did me good.

Photos from the cache are here, but they're not the best!

Geocaching weekend :)

I hadn't been out Geocaching for a while, so I decided to spend Friday night looking for one local to me. I quite like the puzzle caches that you get and I saw that the nearest one to me was a puzzle/multicache. The whole thing took about an hour and a half, and was about a two mile round-trip. All in all it was a great cache, but I foolishly worse shorts, and my legs have been bitten by the local wildlife.

Not content with one cache, I also did one in Marlborough, a micro cache very nicely hidden, and then did a multicache in a nearby village. I solved the puzzle, or so I thought which took me to N51-28.629 W001-43.443, which also agreed with a local-super cacher's calculations, however some 45 minutes searching and I still couldn't find it. Maybe it's been stolen? I don't know. You win some, you lose some. I'll have another go soon.
